Ingredients

2 ½ oz bourbon

6–8 fresh mint leaves

Garnish: mint bouquet

Ice: crushed
Instructions

In a julep cup or rocks glass, gently muddle mint leaves with LAVA Simple Syrup.

Fill the cup with crushed ice.

Add bourbon and stir until chilled.

Top with more crushed ice to create a dome.

Garnish with a large mint bouquet.
Notes

Don’t overmuddle mint — it should release aroma, not turn bitter.

For extra chill, pre-freeze the cup.

Add a dash of bitters for more depth.
